Stage Ninja, a manufacturer of stage lighting equipment had a small problem with big consequences. Their products are designed to organize cables and devices required for various types of stage performance. On stage performances require microphones, cameras or other sensitive equipment to be place in precarious locations. The Ninja Clamp Series Mounting System offers selective styles for mounting the expensive devices in proper position for the performance.
A main concern was the tightness of the clamp on the expensive stage equipment. The powerful clamp often left an unsightly mark. In the attempt to prevent the unwanted marring, an oversized flat tip was added to the Stage Ninja clamp. However, the fit was not great and the flat tip had a shiny, high-gloss surface, a hindrance with all the reflective lighting on stage.
After searching online and finding StockCap, a low-gloss, non-textured flat tip was chosen as the best solution to minimize the reflective lighting issue. A sample was sent for sizing.
